COLT CZT TURBO (1)

220-240bhp MITSUBISHI COLT CZT (BIG KILLER EVO,RS,ST,VXR,STI,GTI,TYPE R)
.
Hello for sale is my Colt CZT, proven 220bhp/300flt!!! from a 1.5T that was with a boost leak which is now sorted(only a loose pipe). Was told that the...>
boost leak had a big drop on performance, have the graph to show and company details who know it very well. If your after that unique cheap to run car but with all the performance of a bigger car then look no further...37,000 miles1.5 Turbo 145bhp (Standard)2006MOT till May6 months Tax2 ownersService historyTonnes of receipts and paperworkCurrent spec is...-Forge hard pipe with forge silicone joiners-Forge blow off valve, Adjustable.- Japspeed Front mount intercooler with samco hoses-K&N air filter-Janspeed full 2.7" exhaust system straight through with no centre box-2.7" Custom decat-Forge red silicone coolant hoses-Samco oil breather pipe-Stainless downpipe-Engine cover resprayed-Evo low-temp thermostat-Evo oil filter-Walbro 255lph fuel pump-SARD fuel pressure regulator-Braided fuel lines-BOSH 550cc injectors-Single plate race clutch-ECU remap by Redline at 1bar, can be taken higher.-One and only set of coilovers made by ISC, fully adjustable make it handle brilliant! -Front strut brace-Brembo drilled and grooved brakes all round -Do-LUCK Braided brake lines with green stuff pads-Custom one of boost gauge holder on A pillar-3x gauges-Fighter flip open traction control cut off switch-Upgraded speakers.220bhp / 300flbt (proven at 0.7bar of boost)240bhp/310bhp (predicted without boost leak and at 1bar) these figures can be taken higher with a simple tweak to the boost its runninghttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LJOiOgz6nA&feature=player_embeddedOwned the car since May, and have enjoyed every minute of it! Brilliant car puts a huge smile on my face and what a sleeper. Never fails to make other people gasp, weather it be the stealth looks or the way it pulls or the lovely over run pops and bangs but the best bit no one knows whats in it just a little hint with the ralliart stickers.Standard weight is 1070kg, has had air con removed weighing in at 35kg. With this and all the rear removed it weighs in at 988kg!! and is running a health 220-240bhp!! as well as the 300flbt! This put together makes a serious road/track weapon and trust me will surprise a lot of the bigger more powerful cars, all this from a 1.5 turbo. Lot of the supporting mods can be used to take it higher if needs be, highest power one iv seen is running 300+bhp.Part from the performance this car is very reliable engine and gearbox are rated to around 340bhp so don`t worry about the extra power destroying the engine. Extremely cheap to run, tax is £90 for 6months and easily returns 45mpg around town and 50+ on the motorway. Also the interior is lovely with soft bucket seats and added extras.I have looked after this car like i do with all my cars, warmed up for 30seconds and cooled down for 1minute. Oil changed this month on 34k and new oil filter, coolant was changed for winter the month before as well.Love this car and will be sad to see it go, still unsure as its such a unique and powerful car. But i need a different vehicle for work. Tonnes more to say about this so email me for questions, photos, prices on parts. Only downside is few stone chips and light kerb marks on the alloys.Feels nothing like a standard CZT, own a standard CZT as well. Compare in no way at all this pulls, handles and stops a lot quicker and better. More than welcome to come for a viewing. No time wasters and no PX just cash sale.£5,800 ONO X

It has sporty looks, a turbocharged engine and affordable prices. The little 1.5-litre unit has 147bhp and delivers plenty of pace, but the CZT is let down by artificial steering and lacks driver involvement as a result. Like the standard Colt, it's practical while economy is good given the performance. But overall it lacks the fun factor found in cars like the Fiesta ST and Skoda Fabia vRS, both of which can be snapped up for similar money. It went on sale in the UK in 1974, and the first of the Colt hatchbacks arrived four years later. Four generations of Colt have followed, and the current car is a joint project with Smart and shares a floorpan with the Forfour. There have been several performance versions, including the 1.8 16-valve GTi, but it’s the 1992 Colt Cyborg that’s most memorable, which offered 172bhp from its 1.6-litre engine. My passenger was columnist, friend and world-renowned motor racing coach  John Stevens , and the privilege of receiving valuable driving tips from the Man Who Knows was tempered by the feeling that we were in the wrong car. It was only when I got a CZT to myself for a week that it started to make a decent case for itself. In hot hatch terms, the CZT is pretty quick. Maximum power of around 150bhp isn't class-leading, but the fact that it's produced by a turbocharged engine means that not-quite-maximum power is being produced across a wide range of engine speeds. This is no screamer, but a flexible unit which provides strong acceleration without the need to find exactly the right gear for the job. Having just re-read Joseph Heller's novel Catch-22 , I'm struck by the paradox that when you're not pushing the CZT hard it feels quick, and when you are it doesn't. The transformation between dawdling along on a trailing throttle and suddenly giving it full gas is dramatic, but if you're already up to speed the car seems to reach a performance plateau and stay there. It's almost as if you would get the same effect by changing up at 4000rpm as you would if you did so at 6000rpm, even though this can't possibly be the case. The engine's behaviour in this respect means that the CZT feels much quicker when you are, say, putting on a brief spurt to overtake a lorry on a country road than when you have the country road to yourself. But there's another reason for this too - when you're using the performance in short measure you're unlikely to be giving the brakes and suspension much to do. More . . . He is keen to modify the car, but it’s one of those vehicles that is hard to find good special parts for. They’re popular in Japan, but only sold in small numbers in UK/EU. Plus there are some differences between JDM and EU versions (such as they don’t have 3 door versions in Japan – it’s a European thing! Also he was a little shocked by some of the prices for parts from Mitsubishi. Despite our history starting with Mitsubishi performance cars, especially Evo’s, we’ve never done much with the Colt model. So we looked into it and found out that Cusco make parts for the car, also HKS and we can get aftermarket parts which are a direct alternative to the OE parts from dealers. If you would like more information and prices on the performance parts available for the Mitsubishi Colt CZT Turbo We are currently preparing a product list for the Cusco parts, which we will make available on the website soon.
